Hello again

The weekend is over and its monday agai..... Wait.... It's TUESDAY!! J/k I took an extended weekend... Well, more like my body decided I needed to be in a coma yesterday. Anyways, I will most likely not post on the weekends because there is too much going on in my life and too much gooood food on the weekends. But here we go again on this journey. Got up thus morning, felt highly unmotivated, ate a good breakfast went to my body conditioning class (still unmotivated) but I got it done and I'm glad I did. Just a little food for thought, when you feel unmotivated get up and go anyway, get off the couch, out of bed, just move. How do you motivate yourself when you feel down?

Daily report

Ahhhh.... Today was an interesting day. I was asked to go on a hike with my bestie's sister, who dragged my bestie along.... I tries to take it easy on them. To answer your question, they survived lol I look forward to doing it again! So it has become very apparent to me that I'm detoxing from sugar, cause when my boys busted out the grapes I find myself eating them as though I will never have another grape for the rest of my life! Lmao... Oh well LOL for dinner tonight we are having chicken spinach burglar patties over boiled mashed squash. May sound weird, but I love it! Happy eating!

Food tracking

Some times its tedious and annoying, but tracking your intake really gives you perspective. Last night I feared putting my dinner into my food tracker and was actually pleasantly surprised at the results. My boyfriend decided to spoil me and take me out to red lobster. I did go over my intake for the day, but only by 11 calories... I'll take it! Lol eating out doesnt mean your going to go over your intake, and it most certainly doesn't have to be only on a cheat day (even though I feel like it was a cheat day.)

Inspiration

I hope I am an inspiration to some of you. That is really how this whole blog started, and now it has motivated and inspired me to continue on my journey. I'm curious, have any of you read my old blogs... The one about poop made me laugh so hard!

Carbo load

So last night I decided to skip derby practice because today is going to be long and hard.... I gave body conditioning at 830, chem lecture at 10, zumba at 1 and off skates training at 6. So last night I went to bed at 11. Thus morning I am having a large bowl of oatmeal to start my day and will eat a banana with a protein shake after body conditioning, and a large salad before zumba.... Not sure what's for dinner yet, I'll let you know. Happy eating :-)

Evening report

Alrighty folks! I'm feeling confident that I can stay on task. I still haven't had coffee, but I'm drinking tea till my eyeballs float. So far today I've stayed under 1500 calories (mind you I plan on having a protein shake after derby practice tonight) for breakfast I had 3/4c kashi go lean crunch cereal on top of 1/2c plain 0% Greek yogurt with 10 raspberries and a green tea, for lunch I had 1c of my left over Mac&cheese, 1/2 spinach and 1/4 of a brat w/and odwalla green juice, this afternoon I had tea, and more tea (lol) for dinner we had lean steak, with 1c spinach and garlic roasted red potatoes w/(you guessed it!) Green tea lol I had my zumba class today at school and I will be heading to derby practice in about 30 mins. Super exhausted but thoroughly determined. Happy eating!

Snacking

Snacking is important, but eating the right snacks is vital. You don't want to find yourself famished when you finally sit down to eat a meal. Then you end up eating 2xs what you should in a sitting and put yourself in a food coma. I'm trying a new thing by sharing a fb pic on here... Hope it works

Late night posts

Well I have to say, the Cobb salad I bought for lunch was amazing, even if I didn't get to eat it till 4!! (never a good idea to go that long between meals) for dinner tonight I made homemade Mac and cheese with whole grain pasta shells, greek yogurt and sharp cheddar, these amazing pineapple bacon sausages from Costco, and brussel sprouts (spinach for the kids). It went over very well and I had a cup of green tea for dessert. I went to derby practice, felt old and fat then had a protein bar and a shower. Just wanted to give you specific updates on the rest of my day/night. Hope you all are fighting the good fight. Happy eating!

Labels

This morning I slept late so instead of being able to make breakfast and lunch to take to school, I ran to safeway to get a few things. As I'm looking at the salads in the deli I gravitated toward the Cobb salad, then I thought, "nah, the Asian salad probably has less calories" but to my surprise the Asian salad has 100 MORE calories than the Cobb. That's including the dressing! Coulda fooled me! So to start my day I had a foccacia breakfast sandwich with only half the bread, and I caved and got a Starbucks energy drink cause I have chemistry lecture first thing this morning :-) for a snack I will have an apple, and for lunch the Cobb salad :-) I'm thinking I will make a large batch of crockpot oatmeal with steel cut oats, tvp, protein powder and mixed berries so I have a quick and ready breakfast in the morning before school. Re-Launch

Well here we go again... I'm going to start being gungho, balls to the wall, Kickin my own ass so hard I won't be able to recognise it....again... To give you guys an update, July 2012 I was down to 175lbs, but life happens, injuries happen, and emotions cause so much chaos in the way metabolisms, and hormones run that a year later I am divorced, a full time student, and I've gained 20lbs back. I am hovering right around 195lbs. I can feel it, and I'm not happy, but I did it to myself. I have started taking zumba and beginners body conditioning at school, and am attempting to make it to roller derby practice at least once a week. Now, to get my good addictiona back on track. I've found myself back to being severely addicted to coffee and sugars again... Today I haven't had any coffee. I have had 4 cups of green tea and kinda feel like killing someone :-) so, here we go... Starting fresh... We will see how this goes!
